Double Eight Wooden Rickenbacker Steel Guitar. This is the same model as seen on the cover of the 1955 Rick catalogue (see Richard Smith’s Rickenbacker book, p. 60) and is the favored instrument of players who want the unique sweet tone that differs from comparable Fenders. Compact length and wide string spacing make for easy slants. Finish is cream, with a slight shadow between the necks, perhaps from something that rested between them or from being on display in a window. Excellent condition with three original telescoping legs. Original gray case has taped bottom edge, but is still sound for protecting guitar and is fine for gigging.
